October 6th
Right now I’m sitting in some library in Milwaukee. What has been going on lately?
Well on Saturday night I went to day 2 of apocalyptic crust fest. I saw many great bands including PLF, war torn, Resistant Culture, Alehammer, and Hell Bastard. It was a great show, the crowd went nuts for Resistant Culture who are a metal/punk band that incorperate native american themes into their songs.
That night after the show I drove north and north back to Wausau till my gas was getting pretty low. I was about half an hour out of Chicago and I hadn’t seen a gas station forever and the needle was on E. I pulled off into some small town which had a gas station but it was closed(it was 2am). I ended up sleeping in the van across the street in mall parking lot, it was totally deserted and kind of eerie. The next day I filled the tank with just over 24 gallons(25 gallon tank) so I guess I was pretty close to running out…
Next day I drove to Wausau and hung out with Jim and Greg all day. We didn’t do much because they were both nursing the brutal hang overs. On Monday we rode the Wausau skate park, and another cement park that was close by. The cement park was super burly with a big bowl dropping to 8 or 9ft in some sections, really fun though.
Later that day we went to Greg’s for Monday night football(we were in Wisconsin which is Packers territory). They were playing the Minneapolis team, and about 15 people ended up coming over to Gregs to watch the game. Anyways the Packers got stomped, and everyone set to drowning their sorrows.
I don't mind driving.. I think I'd make a good trucker
Today we drove to Milwaukee, its raining again. Should be headed to Chicago for Riot Fest this week.
